Every March, people around the world celebrate International Women’s Day! (Some countries, like Angola, have made this day a statutory holiday.) on this day, we recognize women’s accomplishments and highlight their human rights.
So in the spirit of IWD, we are bringing you a mix where women are at the forefront. Songs in the mix are either by women or about women and they were put together by DJ Ante M.
DJ Ante M (aka Maraleigh) is a dj, dancer and instructor from Winnipeg. As a member of PegCity Kiz, Maraleigh's focus is on DJing events for the kizomba community which reflect the eclectic dance and music styles of Winnipeg including, afrobeats, dancehall, and hip hop.
